“The Meditation Project” turns inward, accentuating the personal alongside the communal.
Isolated in New York City at the beginning of the pandemic, surrounded by death, I searched for solace in a world turned upside down. I found it in an unlikely place, on Zoom, where I could join the privacy of personal meditation with the strength that comes from sharing my meditation practice with others on a daily basis. Rabbi Angela Buchdahl (Central Synagogue, NYC) offered teachings as part of the meditation practice.
The pieces in the project represent and embody my reflections on these teachings and the meditation practice.
